Spectrum Aeromed LP500 Life Support Unit

The Spectrum Unit provides the following:

• 3,500 litre Oxygen Supply
• Vacuum Pump
• Air Pump
• 28 Volt and 12 volt DC Electrical Supply
• Moveable overhead console incorporating
  • Lighting and Pneumatics
  • Dual supply outlets oxygen, air, vacuum.
• Equipment Table
• I.V. poles
• Patient loading system

Additional equipment has been designed and manufactured by Pearl Aviation to provide a complete airborne intensive care unit. This includes our supplementary Oxygen/Humidicrib mounting unit providing the following:

• Mounting for two D-size oxygen bottles that can feed directly into the Spectrum LP500 supply providing an additional 3000 litre capacity.
• Flat - bed mounting station for secure storage of medical equipment together with life rafts and emergency beacons for overseas operations.
• The flat bed mounting station has been specifically designed to carry a humidicrib and utilise the units built in oxygen supply.

In addition to the aircraft equipment, mission medical staff carry additional equipment approved for aircraft use and designed to support the operation.
